Classic Game Room HD reviews SILENT SCOPE for iPod Touch and iPhone. This port of the arcade classic shooter on rails packs the massive arcade cabinet nto the tiny iPod. Shoot bad guys and terrorists with your sniper rifle and save the day, Silent Scope is cool because the gun peripheral itself was awesome, the game relies on sniping and precision and was cheesy and outrageous. This version on the iPod is has some awkward gameplay because you move the sight around with your finger, and it seems clunky at times with double tapping. It is not a replacement for Silent Scope by any means but it is still a fun game to play on the go. Silent Scope is from Konami who has been bringing many games to the iPod like Metal Gear Solid Touch and they do a nice job with Silent Scope, even if it lacks the awesome sniper rifle accessory.

Classic Game Room HD reviews SQUIBS ARCADE for iPod Touch and iPhone. This app for iPod is a collection of 7 old school LCD style plastic pocket video games. Remember the Nintendo Game and Watch? Yeah, well these are like the cheapie ones that had 2 buttons, run on a battery and were overpowered by the Atari 2600 many times over. A neat collection of games for enthusiasts and collectors, but lacking the depth of gameplay that most may expect. It's a funny novelty item and gets a laugh from those who remember the original. The games included are meant to be funny and some are parodies of popular game franchises today like Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy Tactics and Gears of War. Squibs Arcade for iPod, LCD video games from the 80's return with touch screen controls and a good sense of humor.

Classic Game Room HD reviews EARTH DAY for iPod from publisher Chillingo. This arcade style game has elements of Robotron 2084 mixed with Asteroids, if you never moved around the screen at all. Enemies (asteroids and space ship thingies) converge on you from all sides trying to invade earth and it's your job to fend them off and save our beloved home world. Arm your planetary defense system thing with a variety of upgrades like multiple guns, shields, rapid fire and faster rotation. Earn weapon upgrades and a huge ass laser like the one you get in Heavy Weapon. Come to think of it, this game is a bit like Heavy Weapon as well. How long can you survive the relentless assault on earth? 1 minute, 5 minutes...? A challenging game with infinite replay value for fans of arcade games, the Earth Day iPod app video game is amazingly fun and addictive with 2 choices of controls (touch or tilt) and a hip synth style beat. Recommended for fans of the aforementioned arcade games who want a great pick up and play blast-fest for your iPod Touch or iPhone. Classic Game Room HD reviews METEOR for iPod, this break breaking breakout style game reminds me of Arkanoid for iPhone and iPod. There are many Arkanoid and Breakout style games available for iPod, iPhone, iTouch and other portable touch screen gaming systems because of the ease to build in analog controls. Move the paddle back and forth with your finger but watch out for heat created by friction! Wrap a t-shirt around your finger for this one to make playing smoother. Cheaper and easier to carry around than an Arkanoid machine, but not as good as Arkanoid, METEOR provides numerous brick configurations to destroy, weapon and paddle powerups and hours of gameplay.
