Classic Game Room HD - METEOR for iPod review

Classic Game Room HD reviews METEOR for iPod, this break breaking breakout style game reminds me of Arkanoid for iPhone and iPod. There are many Arkanoid and Breakout style games available for iPod, iPhone, iTouch and other portable touch screen gaming systems because of the ease to build in analog controls. Move the paddle back and forth with your finger but watch out for heat created by friction! Wrap a t-shirt around your finger for this one to make playing smoother. Cheaper and easier to carry around than an Arkanoid machine, but not as good as Arkanoid, METEOR provides numerous brick configurations to destroy, weapon and paddle powerups and hours of gameplay. Although it starts to all look the same after a while for a few quarters this game is fun, well made and entertaining. METEOR BRICK BREAKER for iPod, published by the very busy Chillingo! Break some breakout bricks with your iPod Touch and iPhone today with this Arkanoid inspired breakout style app for iPod.

I think superball is the BEST breakout style game on the ipod, you should do a review on it.

Totally agree. Some superfans just can’t handle opinions they don’t agree with.

I’m sick of people being told they’re not welcome in the channel unless they express a positive opinion of every video.

It’s the nazis who need to go away, not the people who politely criticize something.

I really doubt Mark takes offense to criticism, it’s just a few of the fans that are nutjobs.
Inecom apparently wants people to express themselves or the comments wouldn’t be open.

  • Golobit:

oh baaw welcome to the internet.

  • GunshipHero:

What is the problem with you guys. You are extremists. I just stated my opinion.
I never said I don’t appreciate his work or he’s some kind of douche bag, so why do you so to me?? In fact I like CGR very much. And guys like you are way worse then people, who just criticize. Critic doesn’t mean flaming or hating. At least please try to behave like grown up.

Can you say Banana? I CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • Golobit:

Boo fucking hoo go away nobody gives a shit.

  • EnigmaHood:

DS has some great 2D games and games with 3D graphics and 2D gameplay, namely Contra 4, Yoshi’s Island 2, New Super Mario Bros, and more. I’m even more pleased to see more 2D games coming out on the main consoles as well. King of Fighters XII, Blazblue, and Murasama all look utterly amazing. 2D is definitely not dead! Also get New Super Mario Wii! 4 player side scrolling action, gotta love it.

  • r0g3r:

    I agree.

  • VoidKeeper:

Yeah I love them too ^^ they have a style and gameplay that can never be achieved on any 3D game, I think the only game that was able to capture as close as possible a 2D game but in 3D was Megaman maverick hunter X on the PSP which was just a 3D remake of megaman X =P

I was actually kind of worried when I saw the PSPs 3D capabilities, I was like, damn, soon enough not even the portables will be havong 2D games, but XBLA and the underpowered DS save the day =P who doesn’t love Castlevania on DS

  • EnigmaHood:

I’m definitely getting Muramasa. Nice to meet a fellow 2D fan. I’m a 2D junkie. Love 2D games.

  • VoidKeeper:

yeah it was the best way, I loved it!

Metroid other Ms trailer also hinted at 2D style gameplay, so me might see both 2D and 3D, similar to that new game for the 360 can’t remember the name.

it’s too bad there’s not many games like that = / I loved ABUSE when I was a kid =P it was awesome, there’s also Muramasa for the Wii coming out, yet that one is only melee, so I guess it wont even use the Wiimote style controls.

Seems like people think this ipod game SUCKS, after all, since they’re thumbing my comment down. All right, so this one sucks too.
